Dover Rug & Home, offering the largest selection of fine floor coverings and window treatments in New England, is proud to announce its sponsorship of Boston magazine’s Design Home 2012, which will open its doors to the public for six weeks of house tours, with all proceeds benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charities this October.
Dover Rug & Home will showcase contemporary and transitional rugs, carpeting, hardwood and cork flooring throughout the home. “We are thrilled to be part of the 2012 Design Home,” states Mahmud Jafri, CEO of Dover Rug & Home. “We are selecting rugs that will compliment the furnishings of the home and we believe that both the hardwood and cork flooring will be a flattering addition.”
Built by New England builder Eugene Mattie, Design Home is a custom-designed residence within the sanctuary of Cowings Cove, a private community in Norwell, MA. The home will be an inspirational showcase, featuring products from the Greater Boston design community led by the vision of interior designer Vani Sayeed. “This project is unique in that it will represent a cohesive design aesthetic while highlighting some of the designs and products that make the Boston area a leader in home and interior design,” states Vani.
As the project design coordinator, Vani will marry her eclectic design approach with the use of the latest technology, elements of sustainable design, artisanal fabrics, textures, finishes and an interesting color palette into the home. Also on the project, architect Gene Raymond designed the home with respect to the history of New England and antique home styles that have been constructed in Boston over the past three and half centuries.
