Let’s take a deep dive: the state of our oceanic health is a troublingly fluid situation. Our blue planet is awash in threats, from trillions of pieces of plastic pollution choking our waterways, to risks to critical protected areas and rare marine species. Climate change puts some of the world’s
most vulnerable aquatic communities at risk. In response, Women Working for Oceans (W2O) is a local volunteer organization that strives to be part of the global solution to the many challenges facing our oceans. Headquartered at Boston’s renowned New England Aquarium, W2O is dedicated to ocean health and sustainability, via education that inspires advocacy and action. Learn more about W2O and their activities in the Digital Edition of the Summer 2021 Issue of WellesleyWeston Magazine.
