North Hill, the leading Boston retirement community, will host five free events for seniors during a “Memory Screening Week.” The events take place during National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month and will be of interest to retirees and pre-retirees with memory concerns or those interested in brain health.
“Media coverage of memory loss and brain fitness are on the rise as are, sadly, deaths from Alzheimer’s and related diseases,” said Elaine Sullivan, RN, Director of Education for North Hill. “We wanted to help Boston-area seniors better understand the issues and learn some steps that they can take to improve brain health.”
All events are free and open to the public. RSVPs are encouraged as some events have limited seating. The Memory Screening Week at North Hill schedule includes:
“At Your Best” – Monday, November 18, 11a-12p – Learn simple exercises to do at home to boost body and brain health. RSVP Link: http://www.northhill.org/event/memory-week-at-your-best
