“RISE” to new heights to cure cancer while celebrating the power of mentoring at the Friends of Dana-Farber’s annual spring gala, 6:30-11 p.m. on Friday, May 1 at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston. The event supports adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Tickets are $500 per person and include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dessert and a celebration honoring master chef Gordon Hamersley.
