Rivers School Conservatory Launches Free Concert Series

The Rivers School Conservatory, with over 800 students, five orchestras, and nearly 100 musician-teachers, has long been known as the premier center for music education in the metro west area.

Conservatory Director David Tierney remarked, “There is a wealth of gifted  students and  faculty eager to share their talent through performances at The Rivers School Conservatory which is why  we launched this free series for the community.”

The new “Free Sunday Series at Rivers” features over a dozen concerts on Sunday afternoons, all free of charge, in the acoustically superb Rivera Recital Hall. Highlighted talent includes: three concerts with acclaimed ensemble-in-residence Triple Helix Piano Trio; performances with Chopin-scholar pianist Roberto Poli and guests; three afternoons featuring the classical and jazz faculty at RSC; and many recitals featuring some of the most talented students at the conservatory.

The next concert in the series is on Sunday, October 26, 3 p.m., and features four exceptionally talented students Emilia DeJesus (piano), Sarah Lamour (viola), Victor Li (piano), and Elias Simeonov (violin) in works by Chopin, Walton, Rachmaninoff, and Wieniawski. There will be a short reception to follow.
