Family Promise Metrowest (FPM), a non-profit organization helping families facing homelessness, is hosting a Savers FUNDrive with the help of the National Charity League of Wellesley. Items will be collected on Monday, November 11th from 11:00am-6:00pm at the FPM Day Center on 6 Mulligan Street in Natick.

Every day for more than a decade, FPM volunteers have helped provide shelter for guest families at local congregations. This year the organization is planning to give volunteers a week off for the holidays. To do this, FPM needs to raise funds to pay for a stay at the Marriott Residence Inn in Framingham for each family.

To participate in the FUNDrive, please bring donations of clean, bagged clothing, shoes, accessories, linens, and towels to the Day Center. Volunteers from the National Charity League will be on site unloading cars. Your unused items will turn into cash that not only helps raise funds to house families for a week, but will keep the clutter out of your closet and items out of the landfill.

With 50 local congregations, 3000 volunteers, and support from the community, Family Promise Metrowest is making a difference in addressing the issue of family homelessness. By providing resources and encouragement and addressing barriers, families bring themselves out of homelessness and into a life where they can sustain themselves and their children.
