The​ ​Wellesley​ ​Hills​ ​Junior​ ​Women’s​ ​Club​ ​(WHJWC)​ will present the 6th annual Wonder Run 5K and Kids Fun Run on Sunday, May 19th during Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend. The event will start at the Wellesley High School track at 8:30am, with the Kids Fun Run following at 9:30am. The course will loop through Wellesley’s beautiful Country Club neighborhood and end back at the starting line. Sensei Nicco DeMasco will be on hand with kid-friendly activities before the event so come early!

In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the WHJWC, this year’s run will be “retro” themed, so bring your best 70’s themed gear and have some fun with us – tube socks and sweatbands encouraged!

Pre-registration for the Wonder Run 5K is $30 and can be done online. Pre-registration closes Saturday, May 18th at 10am and same-day registration will be $35. Pre-registration for the Kids Fun Run is $10 and same-day registration is $12. Kids Fun Run registration is capped at 200 registrants.

Bibs can be picked up at Marathon Sports at 255 Washington Street, Wellesley, on Friday, May 17th from 10am-12pm and on Saturday, May 18th from 10am-12pm. Bibs can also be picked up at the track on race day when registration opens at 7:30am. Wonder Run t-shirts will be given to the first 250 online registrants for the 5K only. Parking for the event is at the Wellesley High School at 50 Rice Street and at metered spots along Washington Street near Hunnewell Field.

The Wonder Run 5K and Kids Fun Run is brought to you by the Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club (WHJWC). The money raised at all WHJWC events is given out in the form of scholarships to deserving high school students who need financial support to make college dreams possible, and as grants to fund programs the make a positive impact in the community.
