Over 280 residents gathered for the WFL Foundation to raise more than $190,000 to support our library. The evening featured a conversation with Secretary of State Madeleine Albright moderated by Mike Barnicle, a reflection on libraries by former ambassador and WHS graduate Nick Burns as well as a surprise visit by Congressman Joe Kennedy. This year the Gala is part of the Foundation’s STRIVE for 530 Campaign, a fundraising drive to raise $530,000 in this, the Main Library’s 10th anniversary year.
