During his career as a plastic, hand, and reconstructive surgeon, Robert Savage melded art with his medical experience to not only improve people’s lives, but to do so as skillfully and as beautifully as he could. Today, Savage brings his aesthetic skills to a different type of practice. During the pandemic, the longtime Wellesley art enthusiast and collector, who also lives on the Cape, decided to start creating his own paintings. He’s shown his art in exhibitions at the Rockport Art Association and Museum and in Osterville.
