In the afternoon of the first Sunday of March, the Wellesley Chamber Players will celebrate the joyous coming of the spring season with piano trios written by Viennese composers, Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert. The concert is at 3pm on Sunday, March 4 at Beveridge Hall, Dana Hall School, Wellesley, MA.

Beveridge Hall is located on the grounds of the Dana Hall School at 45 Dana Road, off Grove Street, just up the street from Wellesley Center, with ample parking and easy access to the hall.

Screen Shot 2018-02-15 at 12.41.00 PM       The internationally acclaimed classical musicians are passionate about music and are eager to share their love for music with the Wellesley community. The players have won numerous worldwide competitions. The artistic director, Jayoung Kim is a piano faculty member at the Dana Hall School of Music. Jayoung will be accompanied by violinist Zenas Hsu, who joined the players in 2015. Another outstanding guest performer is Sasha Scolnik-Brower, acclaimed cellist and conductor, who joined the players in 2016.

 

Refreshments will be served following the program, providing the opportunity to meet the performers. The suggested donation, $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for students, helps to defray the cost of the concert series.

This year, in addition to their performances, the Wellesley Chamber Players is hosting a young artist chamber competition for students from the ages of 13 to 18 on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Dana Hall School of Music, Wellesley. The winner will perform with the Wellesley Chamber Players in their final concert on Sunday, May 13th.
