Artist Virgina Fitzgerald has been working with students at Dana Hall as artist-in-residence in conjunction with the Fiberart and Fashion exhibit hosted by the school.

The first collaborative project was a dress where the entire student body contributed their dreams, desires, ambitions and fears. This dress was worn by a student in the Dana Hall fashion show.

As a second project in collaboration with students, Fitzgerald has been teaching the middle schoolers how to make their own origami dresses and asking them to write their own good wishes on the back. She collects all the dresses that the students make and then will create a larger dress on a wall in the school using the origami dresses.  Once the wall dress is installed, students will be invited to come take a new dresstag for themselves, while deconstructing the wall dress.
