People are under more stress now than ever before. According to a Harris Interactive poll last year, 75 percent of adults reported that the economy has caused stress in their lives. Many of these individuals will develop one or more of a number of stress-caused, debilitating illnesses, including insomnia, heart disease, arthritis, gastrointestinal problems and more. April’s National Stress Reduction Month is shedding light on this important issue.

To help Metro West residents rid their bodies of the ravaging effects of stressors, Healthy Habits Kitchen (http://www.healthyhabitskitchen.com), a company dedicated to helping busy families eat healthy, today announced an event designed to provide a practical framework, tools and techniques to overcome hurtful past life events and shape an empowered personal future. On Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 7 – 8:30 pm at Healthy Habits Kitchen, acclaimed Newton author, Dr. Eva Selhub will host Stress, Resilience & Sanity: Techniques to Regain Your Sanity, Reclaim Your Health & Find Resilience

Selhub is the senior staff physician at the Benson Henry Institute for Mind/Body Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and is a clinical instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Selhub has lectured throughout the United States and Europe, has trained healthcare professionals from all over the world and has worked with groups and individuals in the corporate arena to find resilience, better leadership skills, health and balance.
