Explore Japan Exchange in Milton Celebrates its 22nd Year!

The Explore Japan Program, open to all Eastern MA area students ages 8-18, is a one-of-a-kind, two and a half week summer enrichment opportunity in Milton, MA. Students learn about the many facets of Japanese culture while hosting and spending time with visiting Japanese exchange students and making new life-long friends.

The girls’ program is held at Milton High School (from July 25-August 11, 2015) and features visiting students from Osaka Jogakuin School in Osaka, Japan. The boys’ program (from July 23-August 9, 2015) is held at Pierce Middle School in Milton and features visiting students from Nagoya Gakuin in Nagoya, Japan.  Each program includes workshops on Japanese language, arts and crafts, cooking, martial arts, calligraphy and a variety of interesting cultural exercises, as well as a number of field trips.

For families who host a visiting Japanese student during the program, Explore Japan is FREE for one of their children! That is a two and a half week program, 9AM – 4:00PM, Monday – Friday, including admission and supervision on afternoon field trips – for free! In addition, for host families who have a child who is at least 15 years of age, Explore Japan has a limited number of internship and program staff opportunities.
