MISSION: Friends of the Children-Boston (Friends-Boston) creates generational change by engaging children from high-risk communities in 12 years of transformative mentoring relationships. We call the children we serve Achievers to demonstrate our belief in their potential. Our long-term goal is that our Achievers will graduate from high school and succeed in college. This year we are serving 132 children, ages 5-16, in 60 schools throughout greater Boston, and we will reach over 350 of their siblings and caregivers through our family support efforts. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the at-risk children and families that Friends-Boston serves.
