This February, children’s oral health is the focus of a month long celebration at Wellesley Dental Group on 5 Seaward Road in Wellesley. On Wednesday, February 9, Dr. Nooruddin Pradhan and Dr. Femina Ali are hosting the first “Give Kids a Smile Day,” where children from low-income families will receive free dental care.

Appointments for the dental care may be made by calling 781-237-9071 and are open to children age 17 and under.

Give Kids a Smile Day is an A.D.A. program that usually takes place on the first Friday in February, but dentists around the country may choose to participate on other dates.  It’s estimated that over 380,000 children nation wide will be helped by over 12,000 dentists as part of the program. The month of February is also National Children’s Dental Health Month. Wellesley Dental Group also provides dental health lessons at local preschools and elementary schools, raising awareness about healthy oral hygiene habits.

Dr. Pradhan joined Wellesley Dental Group’s practice a year ago as a Pediatric Dental Specialist. He is an Assistant Professor at Tufts and he’s also a Diplomate for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
