Healthy Habits Kitchen (http://www.healthyhabitskitchen.com), a company dedicated to helping busy families eat healthy, is hosting an event designed to help individuals shed those few extra pounds they are carrying around.  On Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 7 – 8:30 pm, Healthy Habits Kitchen will host Spring Into Shape, a dinner and workshop, along with Wellesley nutritionist, Julie Freeman, MA, RD, LD.

Many people today are struggling with how to fit exercise into their busy lifestyle and are frustrated by low-energy caused by extra weight and not enough exercise. Freeman, a nutritionist for over 30 years, will offer proven strategies for increasing one’s energy, how to lose those few extra and how to organize your life so that you can exercise and eat healthy.

Freeman is licensed dietitian with a master’s degree in counseling and is a certified diabetes educator who completed clinical training in behavioral medicine. She has an avid interest in complementary and alternative medicine, and has developed and implemented a variety of programs tailored to individuals and groups. In addition, she has been featured on radio, national and cable television stations.

Healthy Habits Kitchen creates and sells healthy meal kits that contain everything that is needed to cook a nutritionally balanced meal easily in less than 30 minutes. The kits contain ingredients like pre-chopped vegetables and fruit, a protein, sauce and spices, depending upon the recipe. Individuals follow the directions on the box, making dinner entrees like Lemon Artichoke Chicken, Sicilian Style Cod, Fruited Chicken Curry Stew and Sugar & Spice Baked Shrimp.

Spring Into Shape will take place on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 7 – 8:30 pm at Healthy Habits Kitchen, which is located at 36 Washington Street, Suite 2 in Wellesley. RSVP is required.
