The museum provides a rare combination of art, culture, and the natural environment, all in one idyllic setting. Wellesley resident Hope Aldrich, president and chief executive officer of Eastern Insurance Group LLC, was awarded the second annual 1851 YMCA of Greater Boston Legacy Award for Volunteer Leadership for her nearly 23 years of service as a board member for the YMCA of Greater Boston.   The award recognizes an individual in Greater Boston who exemplifies the YMCA’s mission and is a strong advocate for ensuring that everyone in our community has the opportunity to lead a healthy and productive life.

Michael and Kim LaRoche own and operate Pampered Puppies, a new business at Linden Square. They affectionately call all dogs “puppies,” and believe they benefit from a little time away from home, hanging out with other puppies. They are renovating 159 Linden Street and plan to open early in the new year. The new store will enable expansion of their services beyond grooming to include daycare and training and will feature an indoor dog park.

The Fells Branch Library is returning to its roots as a place for young learners. Originally a one-room schoolhouse, it is one of Wellesley’s oldest buildings, and in 1923 it became the Fells Branch Library.  The renderings of Johnson Roberts Associates have been brought to life by Sean Reidy of Charles River Custom Carpentry and Jason Sawtelle of Blackbeak Studios.  You are invited to explore, imagine, and enjoy this creative little library starting November 17, 2018.
