An incredible meal awaits hungry locavores at the Natick Community Organic Farm’s 9th Annual Harvest Dinner and Auction on Monday, September 19 at the Wellesley College Club, 727 Washington Street in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts-produced wines from six local vineyards will take center stage at the pre-dinner wine tasting. Wellesley College Club Chefs will prepare hors d’oeuvres, cooked-to-order mini entrees, and tempting desserts from over 30 varieties of NCOF-grown, certified-organic vegetables, as well as from donated locally and sustainably caught fish and seafood, humanely-raised meats, and locally produced beer, fruits, vegetables, and cheeses.

Throughout the Harvest Dinner, guests will have the opportunity to bid on auction items, including stays at green inns, gift certificates to local restaurants, massages, yoga classes, artwork, and a wide variety of environmentally-friendly and locally-made products. Additional items will be auctioned off online September 13 through 20. Live music performed by musicians with NCOF roots will entertain guests as they enjoy their meal and bid.

The 9th Annual Harvest Dinner and Silent Green Auction is NCOF’s largest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds support the Teen Work Summer Program, an apprenticing and mentoring program for teenagers ages fourteen to sixteen. Teens involved in the program gain a wide array of skills including carpentry and mechanics. They are also able to gain a sense of community, independence, and accomplishment, all while earning competitive wages, helping the environment, and forming healthy social relationships with their peers and mentoring adults.

Harvest Dinner reservations are $80 per person before Labor Day, September 5. Tickets at the door, if available, will be $100 per person. The pre-dinner Wine Tasting is $20/person. Make reservations with a credit card at NCOF’s website, www.natickfarm.org.
