Residents of the surrounding communities are invited to a FREE community health fair on Sunday, March 6 from 9am to 12noon at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, 2014 Washington Street, Newton. The fair will be held in the Bowles Conference Center on the second floor.
Highlights to include complimentary health screenings such as bone density, cholesterol, blood pressure, lower back, and peripheral arterial disease screening. Screening availability is on a first come-first served basis.
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screenings will also be offered by appointment only. A non-invasive ultrasound of the abdominal area to look for an enlargement of the aorta, AAA screenings are for eligible participants only. Take charge of your health and receive the latest information on a variety of topics, including: cancer prevention, women’s health issues, cardiovascular health, diabetes, vascular health, joint health, nutrition. Mini exercise demos will be offered throughout the morning event. Attendees will also enjoy healthy snacks from Cabot Cheese, Whole Foods and have an opportunity to win door prizes.
