Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s medical experts will present an orthopaedic lecture series in September and October, to be held at the Newton-Wellesley Ambulatory Care Center, 159 Wells Ave. Newton.

Join us as we address an array of orthopaedic issues, including injury prevention, treatment for low back pain, minimally invasive surgical procedures and more. Each lecture is followed by a Q&A session. Refreshments will be served and parking is FREE!

Tues. Sept. 20, 6:30-8:00pm – Treatment for Low Back Pain

This lecture will discuss recent developments in joint replacement surgery to increase mobility, minimize pain, and provide a quicker recovery and return to a more active lifestyle.

 

Tues. Nov 15, 6:30-8:00pm – Sports Injury in Athletes

Dr. Robert Nascimento, Assistant Chief, Sports Medicine, Newton-Wellesley Hospital

This lecture will discuss types and causes of common sports injuries, treatment options, and injury prevention associated with athletes and physically active individuals.
