Kriss Law is pleased to offer an opportunity to take complimentary continuing education classes for credit on March 8, 2010. The event will be at the Newton Marriott, 2345 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton, with registration 9:15 am—10:00 am
Both classes will be taught by Attorney Mike Krone, a favorite lecturer in the Realtor community.
10 am – 12 pm – The Closing and Settlement of the Real Estate Purchase Transaction
Mike will explain the dramatic changes that the new GFE, RESPA 2010, and the new HUD settlement statement have brought to the closing process. Find out what you need to know as a realtor to effectively counsel buyers and sellers in this all important phase of the transaction.
Noon – Complimentary lunch will be served
1 – 3 pm – Offers and the Purchases and Sale Agreement
Mike will walk you through the nuances of the forms you have been using for years and show you what those seemingly innocuous clauses really mean. You’ll also find out how one slip of the pen can turn into a lawsuit. With Mike’s experience in over 10,000 closings, even if you are a seasoned veteran, you’ll find this session to be informative and beneficial.
