The Rotary Club of Wellesley announced today a workshop series titled “Choices, Changes and Chocolate” that will train participants on a framework of life skills to address emotional health and wellness.

The first workshop will be held from 7pm – 8pm on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at the Wellesley College Club, 727 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA. The workshop will be led by Dr. Nadja Reilly – author, professor and co-founder of the Family & Educational Wellness Center.

The workshop is a call to action for all Wellesley parents, students, caretakers and youth group leaders to help at home and in our community with social emotional development. Schools are starting to address emotional health and wellness, but these life skills are ideally exercised at home and in daily life. A gap exists for translating these concepts for the home and wider community. This workshop series addresses the gap in skills and language and breaks down barriers to improve communication and support for emotional well being.

Participants are asked to sign up for Choices, Changes and Chocolate at www.WellesleyRotary.org and the workshop is offered at no cost. Attendees are also encouraged to arrive at 6:15 to share a simple buffet meal and easy conversation. Other scheduled workshop dates are November 7th and December 5th.
