wef-spellingbee-logoOn Wednesday, November 9, 2016, the Wellesley Education Foundation (WEF) will host the 27th annual Wellesley Spelling Bee at Sprague Elementary School, beginning at 7pm.  This ever-popular community event, moderated by sports reporter Mike Dowling, brings together approximately 50 teams from local businesses, community organizations and schools, who compete with each other to take home the Ruth Humphries Bee trophy for their reigning year.  The Bee is a major fundraiser for WEF, which advances innovation and excellence in the Wellesley Public Schools.

Registration is now open for teams of three to participate in the Bee.  Team sponsorship opportunities ranging from $125 – $2,500 are also encouraged and welcomed; these make it possible for school teams and teams from non-profit organizations to participate.  All donors will be publicly acknowledged.  To register, and for more information, visit WEF’s website here, or contact bee@wellesleyeducationfoundation.org.
