It’s about treats and not tricks at the free Halloween Party hosted by Wellesley Dental Group on Thursday, October 28 from 3 pm to 5 pm. All children, their parents, and friends are invited to celebrate the spooky season at Drs. Ali and Ali’s office, 5 Seaward Road in Wellesley. There will be fun activities such as “Mummy Wrapping,” pin the tooth on the Jack o’Lantern, Halloween goodies, and a costume contest. Allegro Photography will be on hand taking candids and costume photos. Everyone is welcome.

The Halloween spirit continues from November 1 through November 12 with Wellesley Dental Group’s third annual Halloween candy buy-back program. Each child will receive $1 for making a donation of candy at the dental office as part of the “Keeping Cavities off the Streets” campaign. Last year, over 900 pounds of candy were donated. All candy is donated to Special Kindness in Packages, a local non-profit that sends care packages to troops overseas. More information on S.K.I.P. is available at http://www.skipcares.org

Local schools are also benefiting by hosting in-school drives, including Chickering Elementary in Dover and Sprague Elementary in Wellesley. Wellesley Dental Group is making donations to participating schools. Any school or P.T.O. interested in participating in 2010 is encouraged to call Danica at 781-237-9071 or email her at danica@wellesleydentalgroup.com

Candy may be dropped off at Wellesley Dental Group between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Thursday, and between 9 am and 1 pm on Fridays during the drive dates.
