This charming love story follows Ethel and Norman Thayer as they return to their summer home in Maine. This year, however, their peace is disrupted by a visit from their divorced daughter Chelsea, who arrives with not only a big chip on her shoulder, but her new fiancé and his 13 year-old son, too. Over the course of the summer, an unlikely friendship develops between Norman and the boy, which sparks a renewed zest for life in the Thayer family. Generations collide in this funny and touching classic about a couple in the twilight years of a long and glorious marriage. This play inspired the award-winning hit film starring Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn.
