Wellesley Historical Society to Launch “Winter Wednesdays” Program
The Wellesley Community Center will be hosting for the first time ever a new series of children’s programs called “Winter Wednesdays” beginning in December. Winter Wednesdays was developed by the Wellesley Historical Society.   Erica Dumont, the Executive Director, is proud of this initiative, as the Wellesley Historical Society reaches out to a new audience.  The partnership with The Wellesley Community Center is another indication of networking and collaboration.

The programs are geared toward children aged five to ten and will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Wellesley Community Center campus located at 219 Washington Street, every Wednesday from December 10 to March 4 (with the exceptions of December 24, December 31, and February 18).

Each program will feature a different historical topic and offer hands-on, educational games and activities. These are drop-in programs, so families can attend as their schedules allow. “Winter Wednesdays” is sponsored in part by the Wellesley Cultural Council and is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Wellesley Historical Society at (781) 235-6690 or email the director at director@wellesleyhistoricalsociety.org.
