On Saturday, May 1, over 225 Wellesley residents gathered to attend the 38th annual Wellesley A Better Chance (ABC) fundraising gala held at the Babson Executive Conference Center at Babson College. The theme of this year’s gala was the Kentucky Derby.
Founded in 1972 by Wellesley residents, Wellesley ABC is a non-profit organization and a chapter of the national “A Better Chance” program. It is a vibrant organization that provides promising young women of color from underserved communities throughout the Northeast the opportunity to enroll at Wellesley High School and live together in our program sponsored house. Scholars achieve academic, personal, and community oriented success through incredible year-round support from a dedicated Board of Directors and community-based volunteers.
