AVITA AT CARRIAGE HOUSE AND BOSTON UNIVERSITY ALZHEIMER’S EXPERT DR. ROBERT STERN TO REVEAL LATEST FINDINGS ON DEMENTIA

WHAT: Avita at Carriage House, a Northbridge Companies memory care community, and Dr. Robert Stern, Director of the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center, will host “Reasons for Hope,” a special presentation featuring the latest research pertaining to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The evening will kick off with a reception to meet Dr. Stern and will conclude with a post-session Q&A.

Using humor and compassion to present the science and facts behind dementia, Dr. Stern will share insights on how to recognize signs of Alzheimer’s disease, how families can support loved ones affected by dementia, and how to cope with the condition with the help of national and local resources, senior care communities, and more.

WHO: Dr. Robert Stern
A professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Anatomy and Neurobiology at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM), Dr. Robert Stern is also the Director of the Clinical Core of the B.U. Alzheimer’s Disease and CTE Center (one of only 27 Alzheimer’s disease centers funded by the National Institutes of Health). Dr. Stern oversees clinical research studies related to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) at BUSM, including several clinical trials for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of AD. He is on several journal editorial boards and is the Chair of the Advisory Council to the Medical Scientific Committee of the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
