“I didn’t do it!” Well, someone had to, so Wellesley Theatre Project (WTP) will find out who with CHICAGO, the longest running American musical in Broadway history. Performances will take place Thursday, August 17 at 7:00 PM, Friday, August 18 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, August 19 at 2:00 PM. All performances will be held at the Katherine L. Babson Auditorium at Wellesley High School, 50 Rice Street, Wellesley, MA 02481 Doors open 30 mins prior to showtime.

After being convicted of murdering faithless lovers, and unsuccessfully placing the blame on their husbands, the women join forces in search of their own American Dream: fame, fortune and acquittal.  With this comes mobs of journalists, lawyers, criminals, and the appetite for fame. This sharp-edged satire features a dazzling score that includes “All That Jazz” and “Cell Block Tango” originally staged by Bob Fosse. Cast members of CHICAGO. reside in Wellesley as well as neighboring communities including Newton,  Needham, Natick, Lexington, Framingham, Sherborn, Brookline, Waban, West Roxbury, and Wayland.

Wellesley Theatre Project is an arts academy and a Wellesley nonprofit devoted to providing students (PreK – 12th Grade) with the opportunity to study and experience theatre and performing arts through year round classes, staged productions, workshops and summer camps.
