Family Promise Metrowest (FPM), a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless families, is set to kick off its 8th Annual Walk to End Homelessness event on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at the Natick Community Senior Center.
Join 105.7 WROR FM and walkers of all ages for music, raffle prizes and a 5K walk around the community. Bring your kids, dogs, grandparents, and friends to help raise awareness and end the cycle of homelessness in Massachusetts.
“Going to this event for the last two years has been a great way to spend time with my daughter while giving back to the community,” says Kelsey Hampton, Natick Service Council Director. “Last year the event raised over $150,000 which gave some of our local homeless parents and their children the assistance they needed to get back on their feet.”
FPM’s Walk to End Homelessness starts at 9:00AM on Saturday, April 8th, rain or shine, at 117 East Central Street in Natick. The first 400 registered walkers will receive a t-shirt. Walkers raising over $100 will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win an Amazon Fire HD10 tablet, Red Sox tickets, American Girl dolls, and more.
The first 100 walkers to raise $500 will be eligible to be part of the 500 Club and receive an embroidered Family Promise Pack-n-Go Pullover from Charles River Apparel.
Registration is open! To register and fundraise for the walk, go to http://walk.familypromisemetrowest.org.
