Healthy Habits Kitchen & Ellie Fund to Create Health & Hope for Local Families

In October, local students and parents will be learning how to cook and eat healthy to raise money for the Ellie Fund.

Healthy Habits Kitchen (www.healthyhabitskitchen.com), a company dedicated to helping busy families eat healthy, and the Ellie Fund (www.elliefund.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting breast cancer and easing its effects on women and families across Massachusetts, today announced a unique event designed to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

For the month of October, Healthy Habits Kitchen and the Ellie Fund are partnering to raise awareness about the role that the entire family plays in breast cancer, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle through the offering of Practical Healthy Cooking & Eating for the Whole Family. At this educational workshop, parents and kids aged eight and up will learn how to save time and cut costs by making tasty, healthy food for the entire family. The event is being offered on four dates– Oct. 3 and 17 for middle and elementary school students or Oct. 9 and 23 for high school students, and 10% of all entrance fees will go to the Ellie Fund to help provide local support services.

Practical Healthy Cooking & Eating for the Whole Family will be held at Healthy Habits Kitchen, which is located at 36 Washington Street, Suite 2 in Wellesley.  The cost to participate is $35 per adult and one child, and $5 for each additional child.
