Close to 700 people gathered at the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Signature Store in Boston on Friday, April 25th for the renowned home furnishings brands 25th anniversary celebration.  The company is kicking-off a year-long celebration of their milestone anniversary by hosting events at all of their Signature Stores nationwide and making donations to a select local charity in each city. In Boston, the evening was a benefit for The Pine Street Inn.  The Pine Street Inn is an organization of volunteers and staff who are dedicated to helping homeless families by providing a comprehensive range of services, including permanent supportive housing, job training and placement, emergency shelter and street outreach to more than 1,600 homeless men and women each day. Founded in 1969, Pine Street is the largest resource for homeless men and women in New England.

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams presented a $5,000 check to them to help support their mission.  In addition, there was a raffle where the lucky winners received a $5,000 Shopping Spree to Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Boston,  a silver anniversary leather major chair and a black & white Better Midler framed photograph.  Mexico City’s hottest DJ’s Tom & Collins flew in to spin tunes all night.  Catering by Max Ultimate featured an elegant and delicious array of passed hors d’oeuvres along with the most incredible and abundant cheese buffet and sweets like silver cake bites, mini pop tarts and an amazing cake replica of the company’s iconic Too Sexy Sadie Chair.  Guests were handed white cotton candy on the way out and an incredible SWAG bag. The evening raised over $7,500 for The Pine Street Inn.

As if they didn’t do enough on Friday evening, the following night, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams donated a $5000 Shopping Spree to the Fenway Community Heath Center’s live auction gala (with Mitchell Gold himself doing the pitch).  The spree sold for $6,500.  Fenway Community Health Center’s mission is to enhance the well-being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and all people in our neighborhoods and beyond through access to the highest quality health care, education, research and advocacy.

In honor of their 25th Anniversary Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams will be giving away a silver inspired prize every month. Go onto www.Facebook.com/MitchellGoldandBobWilliams to enter to win the Sweepstakes and for more details.  In December, the 25th anniversary sweepstakes culminates with a grand prize of a $25,000 shopping spree redeemable in any of the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Signature Stores nationwide.
