PLANNING UNDERWAY FOR NEWTON-WELLESLEY HOSPITAL’S ANNUAL GOLF & TENNIS EVENT
The Newton-Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation has announced that its annual Golf & Tennis Tournament will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Wellesley Country Club (WCC) in Wellesley, Mass. Last year’s event yielded 128 golfers, 16 tennis players and raised $185,000. The goal for this year is to raise $200,000.
Funds raised from the Golf & Tennis Tournament will support The NWH Fund, which is used to help Newton-Wellesley Hospital meet its most pressing operating budget needs. These unrestricted funds are critically important and help the Hospital implement the latest medical advances, purchase state-of-the-art equipment and technology and provide ongoing clinical education.
The full schedule of events includes a buffet lunch, a cocktail buffet and awards. Golf registration begins at 10:30 AM, the buffet lunch is at 11:00 AM and the shotgun start, in a scramble format, is at 12:00PM. Round robin tennis starts at 3:30 PM followed by contests, prizes and a silent auction.

One of the most recognized private country clubs in the Northeast, Wellesley Country Club celebrated its Centennial year in 2010. The course plays to a par of 71 and its 5 sets of tees provide yardages ranging from 5,473 to 6,903 yards – perfect for all abilities.
