Riverside Community Care’s 4th Annual Heart & Soul Blue Jean Ball will be held on Saturday evening, October 16 at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Elm Bank Center in Wellesley. It will be hosted by Susan Wornick of WCVB-TV. The Blue Jean Ball is a unique event, combining outstanding Rhythm and Blues live music with theopportunity to support Riverside, a community-based healthcare and human services organization that provides services to more than 15,000 Massachusetts individuals and families each year.  This year, the event will spotlight Riverside’s anti-bullying and teen suicide prevention efforts and will feature the music of the legendary Mighty Sam McClain.  Mighty Sam is a Grammy Nominee who has been called the “Great Torchbearer of Soul” by Rolling Stone Magazine.

Wellesley resident Scott M. Bock, Riverside’s President/CEO, a blues aficionado and writer for several blues publications, is the driving force behind the Blue Jean Ball. Scott envisioned the Blue Jean Ball as a casual annual event where people could support Riverside and the people the organization serves, while enjoying big name, national and international artists.  This year’s Ball has already attracted the support of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Needham Bank, East Coast Benefits, W.B. Mason, Dedham Savings, Hub International and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
