Jennifer Montgomery Johnston, owner of Three Stones Gallery, is extending an invitation to
emerging artists to submit samples in November for a juried show to be held at the gallery
from January 16 through mid-March, 2017. For this show, an emerging artist is defined as
someone who may have been creating works for one year or 50 years, but has had very little
public exposure. This is a great opportunity to exhibit at an established and beautiful gallery
in Concord, Mass.
WHAT TO SUBMIT:
Artists should submit 2-3 small pieces ( 11″ x 14″ or smaller); 1-2 medium pieces (approx.
16″ x 20″) or 1 larger piece (approx. 30″ x 40″ or larger), clearly labeled on the back of each
piece and packaged for safe handling and transport. Unframed work can be submitted for
consideration. If chosen, we may require that it is framed for the show.
We also need a one-page document with a brief bio and artist’s statement (1-2 paragraphs)
describing your work, how long you’ve been working and where and when you have exhibited
before. Please include your contact information – full name, address, phone, email, and your
website, if you have one. No entry fee is required.
DROP OFF AT THE GALLERY: Saturday, Nov. 19, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
PICK UP: Sunday, Nov. 20, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Artists will be notified by December 1, 2016 if their work is accepted in the show.
