Wellesley Bank, a premier banking and wealth management company, announced today that it would open a Boston Office at One Federal Street in the fourth quarter of 2013. The company currently has three branch offices in Wellesley where it has been providing financial services to individuals and businesses for over 100 years.
According to Thomas J. Fontaine, the Bank’s President and CEO, “Opening an office in Boston has long been a key component of our company’s strategic plan for growth. We have been actively looking during the past year to establish a presence in Boston as a means to more effectively serve our clients and further increase the significant growth we’ve experienced as people leave large financial institutions and seek stable, more personalized banking and wealth management services at companies such as ours for their financial needs.”

Wellesley Bank will open its first Boston office in the heart of the city’s financial district at One Federal Street and will occupy 3,000 square feet of space on the ground floor of the building. Continued Fontaine, “In evaluating where we wanted to establish our presence in Boston, we wanted to be in a geographic location that would allow our existing clients to realize optimum convenience from the office and provide us with significant marketplace exposure to maximize our Company’s growth potential.”
The Boston office will be managed by Henry M. Connors, Senior Vice President. Connors has been with Wellesley Bank for 15 years and is a 25 year veteran in the financial services industry.
This location, in addition to the company’s other locations, will provide clients with convenient access to personal and business banking, residential mortgages, commercial lending, and wealth management services.
