The Wellesley Symphony Orchestra’s (WSO) String Quartet is scheduled to perform at a Downton Abbey-inspired Garden Party at Elm Bank on September 15, 2013. This festive event will support the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Garden to Table program (www.masshort.org), which provides fresh, organic produce to families in need.

During the evening’s festivities, guests will be treated to classical music by the WSO’s String Ensemble featuring Mary Alyce Groman, Cecil Pereira, Carol Davidson, Patrick Brusil, and Douglas Olsen, accompanied by flutist Jennifer Wright. Conductor Max Hobart will lead the musicians in playing music from the 1800s and 1900s. In addition, the WSO generously donated two season tickets for the evening’s silent auction.

The Downton Abbey-inspired Garden Party will feature tours of a dozen gardens, an exhibit of museum-quality vintage fashions, a professional cricket match, luxury prizes, as well as delicious food and drinks from the Catered Affair.

The Downton Abbey-inspired Garden Party tickets are $125 each. The event is expected to sell out quickly. Visit masshort.org and click on the Events tab to order tickets now.
