Written by Tony Award winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, 13: THE MUSICAL is an unforgettable rock musical about fitting in, and standing out.  Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain…or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?

Wellesley Theatre Project’s 13: THE MUSICAL features a talented cast of 18 students between the ages of twelve and fifteen. These cast members reside in Wellesley as well as neighboring communities including Needham, Natick, and Dover.

Registration is open for WTP’s Spring classes including Acting, Musical Theatre Dance, Improv, Stage Combat, and more! In addition, registration is open for WTP’s 2018 Summer Camps. Sessions include three production camps geared for students between 2nd and 12th grade in addition to one week Theatre Arts camps for Pre K- 12th grade. The production camps are: Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark (Grades 2-8), Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach (Grades 2-12), and 1776: An American Musical (Grades 9-12).
